How Much Screen time?

I read this post by Kirby on how much screen time we are having in this day and age her post was as follows,

“Now that technology is constantly evolving and we are in front of computers, phones, tablets and televisions more then ever before, the question that is being asked is what is the impact of screen time? Before I started uni I was working as an administration officer for an accounting firm and spent 8:00 to 5:00 in front of a computer and on lunch breaks I was most of the time scrolling social media sites on my phone. My screen time hours since starting full time uni hasn’t changed much since working full time, however being more flexible now I take regular breaks away from the screen.”

I very much agree with her and her statement. I myself spend many hours a day in front of a screen whether it be for uni or social mediaering. not sure how great this for our eyes and brains but I do know that if we are sitting down to be in front of our screens , this position can be really bad for our posture and mobility. This ARTICLE give great insight into how sitting at a desk is eating away our muscles!

After Prac

Finishing prac was a great feeling, as it always is. I’m always so busy during prac, with writing lesson plans and what not, not being able to work and then the load of assignments that need to be completed from other subjects outside edc3100.

But all in all the prac went well, I had a really great time with my mentor , Miss Moy, and teaching athletics to the students at the school. look forward to doing that in the future and getting paid for ;).

Pre Prac

Prior to starting prac I had I was a bit messed around and stressing a little be cause the prac office was unable to find me a prac placement till a week after I was meant to start my placement. Finally I was able to get placed at Gympie South State School, which was good because that is where my Mum is the chaplain.

Also on that the teacher I was placed with, Miss Moy, was my old PE teacher s I already had that connection with her which was awesome.

Because of the nature of the school and specific prac this time around I had four day with the PE mentor and one day in the classroom working in a grade five class. I definitely enjoy being outside so I was a bit bummed I had to spend one day in the classroom by well see how it goes.
