ICT Based Learning

Hi all, working through this module I have come across from some article and examples that demonstrate the importance of ICT’s impact in classrooms. I recently came across this article focusing on ICT based learning, “The tremendous progress in information and communication technology, the scenario of contemporary teaching techniques has entirely changed. The new area has given new challenges and duties to teachers. So the teachers of 21 century should shed traditional concepts and techniques of class room teaching and should adopt the innovative teaching techniques. In this globalization, the tradition of teaching English has been changed drastically. Technology is considered prominent driver of both social and linguistic change. In this connection Even Gruddol (1997:16) has stated that technology lies at the heart of the globalization process; effecting education work and culture”.

Example on study desk also emulate the value of ICT’s in the classroom evidence by this table of inquiry presented in EDC3100, it demonstrates how ICT can be used as a problem solver and draw conclusions.

Module 2

HI,

So getting onto module 2 it seems the focus is going to be around unit plans (which is what assignment 2 is based upon) and more specifically the “Backward design” approach. The following diagram demonstrates the approach.

The module contains four parts that are aimed at helping to develop different stages of the assessment unit plans. These are 1. desired results, 2. assessment evidence, 3. learning plan and 4. the essay. This structure will be helpful in completing the assignment.

Back At It!

Hi all,

Better late then never right… I’m back into the books after a well enjoyed break from study. I’ve noticed a few fellow students like Kirby, are in the same boat as me, just now getting back into the books. Just had a brief look at assignment 2, seems like a bit of work but should hopefully do alright. my result from assignment 1 came back, unfortunately they were not has good as I had hoped but all is good because I passed 🙂 Right….

Prac is also on the horizon for this subject which will be intense. haven’t got my placement yet but hopefully it shows up soon so I will know where I will be going.
